Having fished the lower Mataura for decades and guided many hundreds of clients, at the
ripe old age of 81 I am retiring from guiding except for a few favourite clients and looking
forward to some more fishing on my own. Since the 2009/10 season I have written a
weekly blog about the past week’s fishing and which I know has provided many hours of
reading to thousands of anglers. With my retirement from guiding I will also stop writing
